FAA Part 107 Chief Pilot (Public Safety Specific)

Chief Pilot with more than 20 years of public safety experience, including incident command, search and rescue, and sensitive missions. Curtis is a Nationally-registered paramedic, professional firefighter, and FAA Part 107 certified pilot.

With over a 20-year history in public safety as a volunteer and career firefighter/paramedic I have received over 40 public safety, incident command, and search and rescue certifications from Virginia Department of Fire Programs. Industry experience with electrical, construction, and project management inspections with a unique blend of public safety knowledge and experience with successful search and rescue history in the public safety realm. Multiple active and pending FAA Airspace Waivers, including nighttime waiver.

As a program initiator and training coordinator for Bedford Fire Department’s Drone Program, Curtis also provides consulting for drone & UAV mobile ground station sales,training, and COA consulting services to public safety agencies

A Lifelong Virginia resident who knows the terrain and airspace concerns for each geographical area of Virginia and is passionate about merging UAV technology with effective public safety/industry applications.
